Haha...it actually very tame as long as you don't give it a lot of throttle ;). I just give it the gas pedal and extra push to amplify the sound for the vids, but normal driving conditions its very tame. I'm uploading the "windows up" vids right now...

Haha no problem, you won't regret it!! Oh btw, that last neutral roar, that was more instinct than planned. My foot had a mind of its own ;)

Doooooooooooooooooooood.

I can't wait for Sunday. I'll hold the cam for a couple drive-by's if you need.

Ultra mega super jealous.
Thanks man! Sounds like a plan :M5launch:

Damn i keep coming back in here debating if i should remove my resonators are not. I also have the famous timmay77 tips on my car. What to do what to do!?!?!?! Are you coming back in the bay area anytime soon? I would like to listen to it in person

#22 ·
Haha. I'm not sure when I'll be up there visiting my parents. Is there any other videos I can make for you in the meantime?

#24 ·
sounds pretty sick. do you have any drive-by vids, though? i'm curious to see what it sounds like from outside of the car while getting on it/WOT...

The vids doesn't do this setup justice. Locals say, in person, it sounds a whole lot better

have you kept the H-pipe above the mount or deleted it? do you have a picture with the underbody of the car in order for us to see the exhaust?

what about an X-pipe ?

what about the power level? have you gained some or lost some?

please post also that drive by movies :) (I want to modify my exhaust and I am gathering infos )

Hmmm im thinking about doing this, right now i just have the mufflers deleted an it sounds good, but now i sort of wanna delete my resonators. But i dont wana lose any performance.........
Although I do not have any dyno figures to prove it, I do not think removing your resonators will net you any noticeable loss in performance. Resonators are designed as dB reducers, and not primarily designed with performance in mind. If you like how they sound right now, you'll love how they sound with the resonators off. And it is relatively inexpensive to have a shop delete them as well.

I still have an X-pipe in mind, and common sense is telling me that I'd like to retain the design of the OEM system, but I'm still doing more research (online and talking to gurus) about whether or not it will be of any benefit (gas mileage, etc).

I have not dynoed the car, so I can't comment on what power levels I'm at now. However, I did not notice any butt gains going from the Magnaflows to these straight pipes. It's more music to the ears ;)

I'm hoping drive-by vid should be up today. Let me see if I can get under the car to take a pic of the exhaust system...

Here's one from the back:

Nice! Report back what you think, maybe with a vid. BTW, easy on the throttle as you leave the muffler shop :hihi:

#34 ·
YES another member of the club!! Glad you liked it bro! Doesn't it make you :hihi: every time you blip the throttle?

#38 · (Edited)
I'm working on it ;)

Im hellbent on doing the same setup as you! Ah the sound!!! at the shop you went to how much did they charge you to do it?
To install the tips, they charged $70 per side to cut off existing mufflers and install piping and Tim's tips...I'd say average price should be $50+ per side
