Shadow Chrome: A Closer Look
So I got my Canon EOS T2i in the mail today, finally. Had some fun with the 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens.. nothing in my condo was safe.
As I am learning how to use the camera and how to shoot macro, I molested one of my repainted shadow chrome wheels with the camera. I was very intrigued to see how speckled the paint really was. You can clearly see the black undercoat and the shadow chrome paint splattered across it. Very interesting..
ENJOY!

Buy a flash, will ya? Front-facing flashes are extremely deceiving when it comes to reflective surfaces
So these are the wheels from Prince?

They look very good! The tiny bit of orange peel is only evident on the dish. I find the overall quality to be very acceptable.

Nice pics! Sooo much detail. I take it those white specs are just reflections rather than imperfections? How do the pics compare to looking at them through a magnifying glass?
Hey, I just thought..... Tiago should take some close ups of his new wheels too. We could have a "Shadow-Chrome-Off" Europe vs USA style!

You know, if you back up a little bit and squint your eyes just right, you'll never notice. :-)

Just showing how ants see our shadow chrome.
I would like to see some macro photos of the OEM shadow chrome paint job. I wonder how different it would be.
All that matters is when you move back and see it this smooth:
