As awesome as his driving skills were...it was bound to happen with that kind of behavior on the streets. The problem isn't you, but rather other drivers around you who are likely less experienced and there is no prediction of how they will react to you drifting around them. My father always says - you can't just think for yourself, but every one else on the road around you.

That Was a good friend of mine and I've told him countless times that he should take his skills to the track but not waste his and other peoples lives on the streets...

I'm checking on how it happened and if he really died or not...

Cheers,

I can surely say that it's his license plates and his car, but he has been buying and selling lot's of cars all the time, but he twice sold these plates and bought it back, I've jast called my mutual friend with him in Tbilisi and he indeed confirms that the car has been involved in a heavy accident, but no reports of his death yet. And just for info, the accident didn't happen in Tbilisi, it happened somewhat 400km's away in Batumi (border city with north east Turkey black sea region) which is a popular holiday city. The accident took place early in the morning today and the license plates where put there looks like it has been put for his memory... I hope he ain't dead, but if he is, R.I.P. my dear Giorgi Tevzadze... I'll miss you dearly...

Cheers,

Ok, this is a little bit hard for me, I've just called his fresh and young wife and couldn't believe, he is gone and it's quite heavy... I'll miss him dearly and hope this sad case will be a huge example for all the young, skillful and too stuborn drivers out there... I hope to attend his funeral this on coming week... R.I.P.

;(

The guy was an idiot and the rest of the drivers and pedestrians on the street can travel a little safer now. His death could have easily been avoid, but he choose to in danger his own life.

Hate to say it but we are all safer with him off the road, it was only a matter of time that someone was going to die......either him or an innocent bystander.

RIP

Based on info from a local forum:

The 'street drifter' was actually in the passenger seat at the time of the accident, and his friend was driving the car. Sadly, Giorgi Tevzadze died when the car lost control, hit a tree with the right side.

R.I.P...Based on what I read on other forums, a very nice guy who really lived by cars and actually knew what he was doing when drifting on the street. His best friend said that if he wasn't confident, he wouldn't execute any dangerous maneuvers, so in all the videos, everything was 'perfected'

The bad part is all the time he was doing this there was only one cop in the video out of all the videos I've seen of him. I know I have done some stupid driving in my day but nothing close to his antics. Skills or no skills there is a time and place for any and everything. Oh yeah for you new drivers out there... trees do not move.

According to Kazahk, it wasn't him. It was his friend that got them both killed.

I ain't justifying anything or anyone, but I just lost a loved one, a real close friend. And I'm not trying to offend anyone either. I love racing, it's in my blood and I've never done some street racing in my life, only track time. I've never approved his way of driving on the street and never will approve anyone that does something like this. That is precisly why I don't let other people drive my car never while I'm in it. In other words, this should be a lesson to everyone who's seeking some guy to race on the street, sooner or later it'll get to you, so do what ever you want on the track, but LEAVE THE STREETS ALONE AND DRIVE SAFE!!!

Cheers,

I'm sorry but he had it coming and I hate to say it but I'm glad it was him and not some innocent bystander. Fact is this guy put countless lives in danger driving like he did in the streets. There's absolutely no excuse for driving like he did on public roads....that's what the track is for.

I'd take this as a reminder to drive safe, be responsible and respect your surroundings.
