Hi Peter

Do you have any progress on the E39 M5 Plenum? (e.g. fitted example, video, dyno results)?
Very keen on seeing the progress on this great product (And buying it later).

Thanks, man! Here are some productions version pics. Meant for these to include the black titanium bolts as well. Will get some pics with those on Monday. I’m pleased.

We aren’t expecting the plenum itself to be a huge power adder—a few whp because of the additional volume and lower AITs. The stacks are really what bring the magic. Their impact already has been dispositively proven through dyno testing, consistent with but better than (ever so slightly) the impact of Dinan stacks. I’m not sure we have a non-FI E39 M5 in the shop that currently is running, but have three cars that are receiving the plenum and stacks, and each of the three will be dyno tested when complete. May be able to extract some pics of fitted examples in the meantime!

The time, effort, and resources being injected into this, and all your other projects relating to a car that hasn't been built in two decades, is truly astounding. Miss you all.

I am planning a video or series once my stacks and plenum are done and shipped. I have these, new injectors, Dinan CAI, Dinan hiflow MAF housings and HPS intake elbows to install and then have a custom dyno tune performed.

Your stacks are going out this week (we have seven sets going out this week). Plenum is still a few weeks out unfortunately.

That is a candy store for adults. I am having bad thoughts of selling the e39 M5 but the parts and services you’re offering is keeping me from doing so.

Thanks, man, but you ain’t seen nothing yet! Watch for our closed loop wideband tuning kit that fits in the stock 02 sensor locations and pairs with the stock ECU!

@herrubermensch, saw in another thread that Partee/EAE are dissolving their partnership. Will these plenums be available in the future or will their production be limited to just preorders?
We are continuing to produce both S65 (solid-topped version) and S62 plenums and stacks non-stop, along with a host of other very cool BMW parts still in the design phase, such as billet valve covers for the S62 that accommodate our E46 M3 pencil coil conversion. We will be selling the plenums, stacks and other parts through the Partee Racing website, which with any luck should be up and running in 2-3 weeks! In the meantime, any orders can be placed by emailing me directly at peters@parteeracing.com, and I'll send you an invoice through QuickBooks that can be paid however you like (other than through ACH).

Indeed, we are just about to finish up the billet mold for the S62 plenums (the tool board molds wore out during the last production run and stopped making the quality of part we require). Not to be too much of a braggard, but we make these molds ourselves using the genius designs of my GM and lead designer, Chris Knerr, and the expert CNC machine work by Chris and my lead machinist, John Ashworth. As a result, we made the mold from $5k of billet and a couple weeks of design and machine time instead of outsourcing it for $75-100k (as me how I know that price range!). Here is a pic of the bottom mold:

Good lord. That mold should be framed and displayed in a museum of some sort. Just.. stunning!

Was my set of snorkels included in the initial batch by the way?
Snorkels! LOL. We have something like seven sets of stacks going out this week, so you may be in that wave! If not, the next wave will be done in a week or so. We've become masters at the production process for those!

Amazing, glad to hear they'll be available going forward.

Any plans to design space for the M and/or MPOWER logos on the CF plenums to mirror the factory look?

Glad to see you guys creating so many new parts for a 20 year old chassis.

Thanks,
