Thanks for your reply

i won’t use the liqui moly

I wonder what effect it can have on the M5 diff for those that have added the other part number oil to their car because it doesn’t specify the E60 M5

will get the 83222365988 oil ordered in and diff plugs
Why should they have any issues? I cross reference it on BMW catalogs and it states it’s good for the E60 M5 and all M differentials. It’s probably the same oil from a different manufacturer or slightly different formula that works on newer models as well as backwards compatible for the older M’s.

could you share the Bmw parts source that mentions its correct for the e60 m5

I shared the realoem links in the first message which show the latest part numbers the one specified in the thread comes up for other cars only not the M5 and thats using various Bmw part systems

There's a bulletin calling out the FM fluid for the M5 and M3s. I think it's in the sticky but it's been a while since I looked. Please check those threads first. Guess BMW never updated their parts diagram. Either way no damage will occur to your car.

Thanks will look for that

Bmw do make mistakes on part numbers from time to time Iv seen it before on a few occasions. Just wanted to be sure

Pitzy, I am Pilipino and am quite dumbfounded why you would use such a derogatory analogy degrading a specific race in this forum. I know you were trying to be funny, but please keep those remarks to yourself.
Old thread, but please stop being a snowflake!!!, He was talking about Filipino hookers, are you a Filipino hooker? No, good, then you have no skin in the game or standing in this court.

If you are, what’s your rate? 😉

Holy Crap!

I could literally change my oil in my e39 without getting my hands dirty via a top side pump and that OH SO TO BE MISSED oil filter housing right up top...Do all the bottom panels need to be removed or just the one covering the filter, or do the other ones cover the filter panel?
I agree, when I moved from an E39 M5 to an E60 M5 and did my first oil change I was like “WTH, who the hell moved this down here and why?”. It’s super convenient having the housing up top.
