I think ”pretty well” is a gross understatement. They look freaking awesome and you know it!
Ha! Thanks! These guys have now refinished 13 of my wheels. Never fail to deliver on the quality -- even repaired a dent on one of the wheels.

I drive 2+ hrs each way for my wheel guys. Major PITA but I know the quality I will get.

I am not a huge fan of dark wheels on BMWs anymore like I once was.

My project car came with some that were powered coated a dark gunmetal grey. And the brake calipers were painted gold. Not a good look at all. It was so bad I was going to paint the brake calipers a different color.

But I ended up putting on some M5 competition wheels from a 2013 BMW M5. The siler wheels with gold brake calipers look great to me. Saved me from another project - painting the calipers.

They do not look as good as V10PWR, Shieldze1025, MPower338 or IndyRedBeast. But I was able to get them on a budget at $1,100.

Refinished the center caps, which looks so much better.

Hello Specialized2010
I'm new here and very admired with your setup. I have a 06 m5 with manual conversion done and now shopping for wheels and tires. I found a set of wheels that have similar design to yours but offsetting at 19x9.5 et22, 19x10.5 et 22 or 35. I am on stock suspension but maybe consider lowering the car or even upgrade to a set of coil overs in the furfure. Would you recommend buying the rear with +22 without spacers or the +35 with a 10mm spacer to achieve the same look as yours since I will need a 17mm spacer already for the front wheel? Or you think I should just custom a set of BCs with your exact offsets? I am planning on stretching my factory size AS tires 255/40/19 and 285/35/19 for this winter and will either do a set of 265/295s or 275/305s next summer. What tires, wheels and suspension setups would you suggest me to purchase if I am planning on keeping the car for good with 80% street and 20% track in the next year or 2.

Thank you for your time,

Larry K

My E60 550i M-Sport. Original M Suspension, non-rolled fenders.
I spent so much time on measurements and calculations of the perfect fitment for OEM suspension, and I think this is it. I havent had a chance to do a long drive on a more bumpy roads, but so far there has been no rubbing.

With the new wheels, I fixed the rear wheel diameter which in OEM setup (9,5j 19" 275/30 R19) is smaller than the front wheel (65,41cm front vs 64,76cm rear - 6,5mm difference). Additionally, there is a quite big difference between OEM rims width vs tires width on the front vs rear. The OEM front tires are wider than the front rims around 2,91cm and on the rear the width difference between tires and rims measures 3,37cm.

The new wheels are Japan Racing JR23 V2 (Flow Formed)
Exact setup:
a) Front: 8,5j 19" ET13 (ET28 + 15mm spacer), 245/35 R19 - 65,41cm total wheel diameter, tire wider than the rim around 2,91cm
b) Rear 10j 19" ET21 (no spacer), 285/30 R19 - 65,36cm total wheel diameter, tire wider than the rim 3,1cm

Now there is more clearance between the wheels and the suspension struts (both in the front and in the rear), than there was with OEM172 wheels - so there is no risk of wheels rubbing the struts.

The distance between the outer position of the fenders and the top of the wheels is approximately 8mm on both the front and rear wheels, which gives the whole setup a nicely balanced and almost flush look. From my calculation and tests which I performed with OEM172 wheels it seems the perfect fit where fenders don't rub.

FYI:
OEM 172 wheels:
a) Front 8,5j ET18 245/35 R19 - I tested for rubbing the fenders with:
  • 15mm spacer (ET3) - didn't get any rubbing, but the wheels did stick out a bit outside the fender
b) Rear 9.5j ET32 275/30 R19 - I tested for rubbing the fenders with:
  • 15mm spacer (ET17) - no rubbing even with full load, bumpy road, high speed
  • 20mm spacer (ET12) - slight rubbing with full load, bumpy road, high speed (this setup is exactly 2,65mm closer to fender than my final setup with 10j ET21)
  • 25mm spacer (ET7) - a lot of rubbing even with lower speeds and less bumpy roads
