Thanks Gustav...It's speculation...but can we infer that a reasonable 60-130mph time would be 8.5 secs or so? 100 to 200kph would be 62 to 125mph? So...it would take a lil longer to get to 130 mph...Just my 2 cents...

Then something doesn´t add up...10.8 are the times the M5 E60 is capable of...hmmm

10.4 is the time for a stock M5 E60 according to 6speedonline, they have list of pretty much every car.

How would LC affect the times once the car is rolling? Does the LC mode change the shift pattern at all after the initial gear change?

I think the ECU optimizes fuel, launch and all gearchanges for a LC comapred to regualr run.

 

One more thing that hasn´t been asked...you said that you had this M5 over the weekend Gustav, is it a press car?

With our Stage 4 performance Kit for the M5 F10, we achieved 6,3 Seconds from 100-200 km/H :biggrinbounce:

 

That is just crazy, faster than an Enzo

 

Because it's a turbocharged car, if you cut 60-130 out of a full run from a stop, the turbo's may be building more (full) boost than if you punched it from, say, 50mph, where they need to spool so the car is not at 100% when it passes 60mph and time is being recorded and it could thus account for the difference.

 

BTW... 6.3s is a FANTASTIC time for any car let alone a luxurious sports sedan! Congratulations!

We just did some more runs.. unfortunately traction wasnt on our side so our 100-200 km/H was slower but our 80-250 km/H time was 0,5 seconds faster although this time we were 2 people in the car

These are the only VBOX references i've managed to collect so far, as have not been able to get to any VMAX events this year. Note no L/C was used, the run was in February this year i wasn't on a runway so far from ideal conditions.

 

Your 60-130 seems correct although your 1/4 mile doesn't. There is no way you can trap 132 mph yet alone run a 10.5 ET if you are doing 7.5s 60-130.

 

That's the data the VBOX captured.

The 0-60 combined with 60-130 tally up perfectly with the 1/4 mile.

Stock F10 M5's are in the high 11's.

Anyhow, to date it's the only time i've been brave enough to try my VBOX Sport out, so i'll see what i manage when i can get her onto a runway.

 

You would be breaking every physics laws out there if you ran 10.5@132. You would need slicks and at least 820-850whp in our weight category to achieve that.

 

Following the thread but where's the update?

 

My best now is 6.0s 60-130 and 5.1s 100-200.
