Where should I start looking?

It seems like I can feel it more than hear it...some what of a clunk...I would imagine a worn bushing of some sort.

I *think* it's from the front. While driving if I turn from right to left hard...I do not experience it. It seems mostly when slowing down or accelerating...a front to back shifting...NOT side to side.

It has gotten gradually worse over the last week...
Thrust bushing have already been done. The car has about 100k on it.

Just an idea but what about rear main frame bushings? I have experience about one car with worn main frame bushings and during slow downs and accelerating it "clunked" like you told? There is big parts moving so it really can be felt.

I'd say lift your car up and check if you see any visible marks of worn bushings?

I checked the brackets...they look fine, but I felt like one ooked closer to the metal behind it than the other...where do they break? And is it just the bracket breaks or does the bracket separate itself from the frame part? Like it would need to be welded?

Some front end clunks are hard to diagnose. Thrust arm bushings didn't resolve mine. All looks good and tight when she's up on a rack. She's going up again today for further investigation. The clunk is driving me crazy. If I learn anything, I'll report back.

I have a nice front end clunk on my car also, very annoying. It seems to happen when the car is going on an uneven surface. Like going into a driveway at an angle (like everytime I come home or leave home). Seems to be coming from the front pass side area, but still hard to tell.

So if you find out any more info, please let us know.

How about ball joint? I believe mine was the thrust arm ball joint that caused the clunks. I've got new suspensions and arms, so all noise gone. check by pounding on the ball joint with a mallet, see if you hear any clunks.

I think it is my front strut...it's now making a lot of noise...so I am ging replace the struts and then also te sway bar brackets and bushings...it looks like they are pretty much worn out as well...We'll see what happens until then.
