Is the Supersprint exhaust system with the x-pipe a bolt on system or do you have to cut and weld to install. I want to keep my stock system in case I ever decide to sell the car.
Yes, I had two reasons. The first and more important reason was that I was trading in the M5 for a new M5. BMW dealers are not that keen on aftermarket parts unless it is Dinan. Also, I had sold the exhaust to Rare M5.kwalls said:Rocket, was there a particular reason you had to put the OEM stuff back on?
Well, I put SS back boxes and X pipe on yesterday and I'm a bit disappointed - the car makes a very deep booming sound but no Ferrari liek crackle - not even an SL55 'nascar' style rumble beat - Are there 2 types of backboxes and I've got the wrong ones?AndyMenard said:
I had both the Supersprint X pipe AND the Supersprint exhaust on my M5 and it sounded GREAT!! It gave the car sort of a "Ferrari-ish" sound.
Are you dissapointed because it is not as loud as you thought? If you are looking for more decibels, the SS X pipe with the Dinan exhaust will do the trick.slider said:Well, I put SS back boxes and X pipe on yesterday and I'm a bit disappointed - the car makes a very deep booming sound but no Ferrari liek crackle - not even an SL55 'nascar' style rumble beat - Are there 2 types of backboxes and I've got the wrong ones?
