Hi All,

I am just finalising my order for the M6 Convertible and am wondering whether I should go for the Carbon Fibre or Piano Black interior.
Does anybody have any pictures of a Piano Black interior?
I did try and search on the Gallery but cannot find anything.
My car is as follows Sapphire Black, Portland Brown Full Leather, Black Hood,
Universal Remote, Ipod, Bluetooth, TV, Comfort Access, Soft Close, Carbon Fibre?, Hi Beam Assist.
I would appreciate the help as I have a build week of 49 so need to make a final decision.
Cheers Jon

Go to the BMW.COM website and look at the M6 Convertible section. It has interior pictures of Portland Brown with Piano Black. Much classier looking versus the carbon fiber IMO.

Just wanted to thanks for all the help !

It has been unanimous in favour of the Piano Black so that is the way I am going.
My car is week 49 build so I will not have it until late Dec and will not register until Jan 1st so will have to envy you guys until then.
I will post pics as soon as it arrives.

As its a convertible with & it has the portland leather, has to be piano black. Having said that its funny how differant colour schemes very things...in a black coupe with black leather I would plump for the carbon fibre evverytime..ties in nicely with the roof too

I agree with Chris, and congrats Jon on a very good choice (PB trim is a perfect match for PB lthr).

Btw, your chosen color combo abbreviates to SB-PB-PB, which sounds like something one of my young nephews would say (mumble?) :7:. Looking forward to your pics, of course :).

Piano Black IMO is more classy. But with an M6 isnt it all about sport? I would get the CF, sporty>classy, but if you're trying to achieve the Classy yet sporty (in the sense thats its an m6 and anything in that car will make it sporty) look, go for the piano black.

Given your colour combination, I would also have to agree that Piano Black would work really well. Here in Canada, you can get the PB trim as long as you don't order full leather unless of course you go Individual

Hate to admit it, but I just went to the dealer yesterday and sat in a Blk/Blk conv with carbon (what I ordered ) and I'm not sold :sad1:. Save the $300 and get the PB. I would and will probably make the change.
For Blk/Blk, how about the Schnitzer silver carbon fiber (http://www.cecwheels.com/tuners/pro.../tuners/products.sd?iid=102&type=wheels&modelId=&categoryId=43&tuner_brand_id=3) ? Or have this guy (http://rau-autowood.com/cl55.htm) in LA do it.

Piano black can look great with the colored leathers, but with all black it becomes only a relatively uninteresting textural contrast.

Dark birch ? Not on an M6. The wood choices are Madeira Walnut or Olive Ash Carrera.

I have blk on blk with carbon fiber. I loveit and all the guys love it. The gals not so much in love with carbon fiber. It does match the roof great. Certain interior colors do look better in my opinion with carbon fiber. Black interior, red interior and light gray (pebblestone). Any brown or beige interior leather color would look best with piano black to me.There is a white M6, red interior and carbon fiber that looks good in this M6 board on another thread. Personally, the red is a bit much for my taste, but I think it still looks good. You should check it out.
