Hi! I'm having this problems in a 2005 e60 m5. My car has the logic 7 system so I'm trying to find information about how to disconnect the Bluetooth module but my systems are different respect the photos that I have seen.

Also I'm having problems with the battery and date/time memory.

Can you say to me which cable I must disconnect to delete the Bluetooth module? Thanks

Not sure this is going to fix your issue. Sounds like the CCC is just about to take a dump. Happens all the time. To me too in fact.....

*edited cause I got the Bluetooth module confused with the HIP module in the CCC, DOH!

Bluetooth module is in the CCC. Not sure this is going to fix your issue. Sounds like the CCC is just about to take a dump. Happens all the time. To me too in fact.....
Yes but I have read about deleting the Bluetooth module doing a bridge between the Bluetooth's fiber optic and the "master module" you can solve the problem.

Some people did it and solved their problems.

Waiting for help. Thanks!!

Bluetooth module is called (TCU) and is in the trunk left side just forward of the amplifier. If you remove the left trunk trim, up near the top of the wheel well, you'll see a small black fiber optic junction box about 2.5" x 1.5" x .5" with 6 (8 if you have HUD) green fiber optic cables. This is the MOST junction box where every MOST module in the car runs through. The cables pointing towards the front of the car are the transmitting and the rear are the receiving.

You will be drive yourself nuts trying to figure out which one is which to do what you are after. It's possible, but not worth the effort.

Instead, buy one of these, unplug your TCU and plug this into the MOST most connector. Done.

damn, im having this same exact problem...i thought my amp was fried, then i noticed that my CCC unit was going haywire and showing the wrong date and even restarting on its own...so i stepped back from the problem and realized it was deeper than just a failed amp.

im going to buy this bypass too and give it a shot then...

Good luck. Almost certain your motherboard within the CCC is shot. I had those problems before the thing crapped out completely but even with the car off, the cooling fan would remain on to give me a nice surprise of drained battery alert in the mornings. Led me to think my battery was gonners. Replaced the battery and had the same message. Dug further with the help of the forum and realized what was going on. Got a used LCI CCC motherboard from Troy, swapped it out, programmed and viola, no more problems and all functionality returned. Seems the pre LCI models fail most often in the exact fashion. I know for sure the visual differences between the motherboards is that the LCI models have integrated memory, whereas the pre LCIs have detachable memory. I did a teardown of mine and posted a picture heavy thread of the rebuild.

just to follow-up on this everyone, my problem was solved with the Fiber Optic bypass cable that was suggested in this thread. i had to modify it to fit, but it definitely solved my issue.

over the summer i took out my ipod interface adapter (which replaced my OEM CD Changer)....i have no idea where my OEM CD Changer is anymore so i left the cable unplugged. oddly enough, the entire fuc*ing system wont work if a single component is bad or unplugged.

i used the Fiber Optic bypass for the CD changer plug to complete the loop and BOOM! all my audio returned to normal functionality. the CCC unit is back to working like regular w/o any issues! :)

Good to hear Chris, glad it's working again.

The MOST bus is a serial fiber optic system, so each component has to receive, then retransmit the signal. It's basically a big loop throughout the car. If the loop is broken, not only do the components downstream lose signal, the upstream components can't communicate back to the sender of a message.

At any rate, glad it's all working now.
