We have actually had a small group of Minnesota M5 enthusiasts here on the M5Board since 2003 or so. I will send you a PM with some links to pictorial threads documenting our drives the past few years. We usually try and get together socially through the Winter months, and I am planning a supper-meeting for our group next weekend.

Shine up your ride and bring it out!..we will have our 4 corner weighing system out so fill your tanks if you want to see max weight and where it is on your we will be grilling so we'll need some people that are willing to bring some goods....i'll have some stuff to grill but we'll need chips pop ect..

Yeah - When I went to look at it I was asking myself if I like the color:dunno:
- After I picked it up the color grew on me for awhile - Then after five years the color was kind of eh! zzzzz- Now that I sold it. I wish I still had it as a second car -:grrrrr:

Brian, Veronica, I will let you know when we have a drive scheduled. If the weather is cooperative I will try and plan a drive towards the end of April.

We will try and make it to the May 4th gathering in Maple Grove.

This Fall and Winter have been tough on my schedule, with several family emergencies and travel, otherwise I would have planned some informal social gatherings. Will try and plan a get together PRIOR to the start of the driving season.

I'm in Minneapolis / Golden Valley. You guys should try to make it out to cars and cafe this weekend ( and every 1st Sat of the Month) so that I'm not the lone E60 M5 in the lot.

Cars and Cafe looks great

I will try to get the Beast overthere tomorrow (Saturday). Looks like a great event...I will give it a try. You have a beautiful 60 it looks like the almost the same color as my Carbon Black e39.

 

There are a couple of M5's around. I went to last months cars and coffee, but if you don't get there early you don't get to park inside. So the M5 sat in the spectator parking. Oh well. I think the organizers need to get a bit picky with who they let in, but that's probably just me. Maybe tomorrow there will be more rare and unique cars out there. Last month was pretty vanilla compared to some of the days last year.

I don't know if this post is dead or not, but I just picked up an E39 M5 and joined on here a couple days ago. I'm from the Anoka area. Would love to go on some cruises maybe next summer since it's getting a bit chilly out now.:Thumbdown:

I also have a 2001 e39 M5 (15k miles)...perfect condition and live in Plymouth, MN. Would love to meet other e39 owners in the area for coffee or a drink...compare stories and ideas.

I picked my e39 M5 up a couple weeks ago. I'd still be up for a meeting before winter strikes - I'm in Plymouth also.

 

New 2000 M5 owner here in St Paul. The Beast is in storage for the winter, although it comes out on nice days here and there :noSMG: Would love to meet up with local owners come spring time!

 

Great so would I. I put mine to bed November 1st. plan on taking it out for its 15,000 mile inspection the end of March and then a detailing. The beasts are getting restless. Maybe in early April we can schedule a meeting of all Mpls-St.Paul owners some Saturday morning.

Too bad your beasts are in storage for the winter - it would be sort of fun to have a subzero meet. I get to drive mine all winter!

 

I am up for a sub-zero meet. M5 is a MN daily driver for me.

I am kind of bummed the cars and coffee doesnt go through the winter months.
