I came across one that is available, used, but comes with a 6-month warranty. Came off a salvaged 2000 M5.

Guy wants $300 plus shipping. Nothing in it for me, simply know that folks have had issues with these (I myself did). Anyone with interest just PM me, I will put you in touch with the seller.

mine needs to be replaced but I'll go with reg 5-series. It's bigger and I can see more. Also only 50.00 or so dollars.

That sure is a cheap alterntative. Just make sure it has autodimming and alarm feature.

Wonder if the Mini rearview mirror will fit, is it almost the same shape :confused2

As Raul Julia said in "Gumball"..., "Whatsa behind me, she dosen't matter." And then proceeds to rip the mirror off his Ferarri.

I'm now fully used to the shape of the mirror on my 2000. I kinda like it now, and i can see what I need just fine.

Eg, I wasn't passed more than a handful of times while driving on the freeway..for three years. Maybe 10 times. And this was in a 1990 toyota Camry ****ebox. Casll me a madman. whatever. It sure don't happen much with the M5. Mirror is more than adequate. To each their own. :)

Blindspots and ppl with bad brakes are good enough reasons for me.
