A putrescent rainbow of colors

Vividly put, and I tend to agree. In fairness, we can't be sure that the colors of the wood and leather seats have been accurately reproduced in these photographs. Nor is direct flash a complimentary way to illuminate a car interior. I've attached a less discordant E60 interior with somewhat similar colors taken from the BMW web site. Frankly, the default image on the computer screen is the most offensive sight in this image.

I prefer an all black leather interior with nice wood or brushed aluminum accents. Black also has the advantage of visually minimizing awkward shapes (for those who don't like the way the dash and console are shaped). If I don't grow to like the E60 exterior any better, I may order the exterior in black as well.

and this is defintely just a M5 concept car, since it still has the normal 5-series side mirrors and rear-view mirror. maybe this is the car BMW have for Goodwood Festival of Speed?

The "thousand island salad dressing" color vinyl covering the center console is scary.

They should just bite the bullet and add the buttons back. That thin stripe of tiny buttons looks pathetic and out of place.

The photos do an excellent job amplifying the horrible fit and finish of the interior.

The wood trim seemed to make the cabin "look" nicer than its plastic trims found on the 5 series. Still don't like the tach and speedo :confused3 and the steering wheel is bleh...

a row of buttons in the centre console...must be packed with electronic goodies :cheers:

On the pictures the wood and leather combination is terrible :crying2: Also the 7-series inspired middle console is sad but that is no news.

Good thing is the M5-specific parts as well as the leather dash

nope, doesn't look like it.
the colour of the leather might looks similar, but they are defintely two different type of leather.

i still think the old interior is better...new dash is clearly designed from a cost saving persepctive--u dont get the classic "driver cockpit" feel in the e60...the door panels are unorthodox as well...

Gustavs edit= posted a pic of a render of the original picture. Now leather is black instead of brown and the wood panels are dark instead of light coloured wood. Alot nicer lovelove

When I look at the standard E60 interior, it looks good. But this one is falt out horrible. I think the M5 will have much better interior than in the pictures.

am i the only person that actually likes the e60 interior? In fact i must definately be the only person who likes the inner door design! I always felt the e39 interior was dated even when we first got one in about 1998. Still liked it of course!
