Guys the time has officially to come to take my beast to another level. I was experiencing numerous problems with my SMG transmission and I didn't like the jerkiness. I am a huge fan of the E92 M3 DCT transmission because of how instant and quick the shifts are. Not to mention the less problem it causes; the DCT on those are solid reliable transmissions. BMW did a great job with the glorious NA V10 engine but did not perfect the automated transmission. I ordered the E92 M3 DCT transmission and flywheel yesterday and will start shipment next week. The shop who is going to make this amazing build is going to be Gintani. Gintani is well-known for their supercharger and twin-turbo kits they offer for M cars. At there facility, I saw an amazing build project which was a 2010 M6 with a twin-turbo kit pushing easily over 1000+ horsepower also equipped with their DCT transmission to handle perfect with the beast. My whole build is going to take roughly a month to complete and I can't wait till the parts come in! I will update you guys every time I have new updates on this build.

DCT is great but this ^

M mode on & throttle response aggressive via pedal box - the shifts are quick - granted not as fast as DCT but they're damn sure fast!

The DCT is just something else. I love how it is on the E9XX M3 and Nissan GTR. Porsche's PDK transmission that is found on a GT3 is double clutch as well and that is why it beats most supercars by just its amazing transmission. There was a video of a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera drag racing a Porsche 911 GT3 (both stock) and the Porsche took the Lamborghini because of its outstanding transmission. Now that is all changed with the new Lamborghini Huracan's DCT transmission. It's the first Lamborghini to run on a DCT transmission and it is truly amazing. SMG feels great no doubt, but honestly speaking the shifts aren't that instant (even with Euro SMG).

Am i reading the shift speeds correctly?

SMG III - 65ms and M-DCT in E92 80ms
SMG III - S6 no lift shifts are actually faster than DCT in E92 M3? Huh? :eek

If so that would explain why our transmission feels like it is about to fall out S6 Full throttle upshifts
I am torn.. I want to go faster but don't want to give up the savagery in the SMG :devil.. i actually enjoy it. I sometimes do full throttle upshifts to scare passengers. Full throttle upshifts that vibrate the chassis is bonkers but then there is a price to pay for all that fun when you have to pay for clutch.

I saw that Gintani had posted a vorsteiner hood and trunk on the auction site, however they were listed as pick-up-only items. I messaged them about a month ago to inquire if they had any interest in shipping the hood. As a side note in my message I asked if they were the same "Gintani" that was performing a DCT swap.

I didn't hear back from them at all, and that was about a month ago, and their company M6 looked to be in the process of being parted out. Hopefully everything is OK over there...

Its probably same as all the other builds, customer posts up their project, they disappoint and have issues, they dont post to avoid embarrassment and to keep the friendship. At the end of the day they have his car and lets hope they dont butcher it

If dct was able to be done Outside of bmw headquarters, I would have thought chariot and jcolley would have acheived that

Theres probably some old german bloke retired that could write the code but probably doesnt really have much interest of cars outside of work lol

I saw the M5, it's there and working. I think they are just testing it to make sure everything is perfect before released to its owner. They also have a ton of cars they are working on at the same time including my beast so give the guys a break I am sure we will get some updates very soon! :D

Oh yes

When they fix a time and date and they delay or disappear it means " bullshit"
