e39 M5 colors?

Not honestly sure - Although I'd prefer a leather gear stick and hand brake to rock hard wood..

I emailed BMW UK to try and find out if they kept sales figures and to see how rare they are.. This was their reply:

Thank you for contacting BMW Customer Information.

I can advise that your vehicle is not Aqua Blue it is Aegean Blue. As this colour is an individual option I will not be able to supply you the amount that were sold in the UK .

So like INDIVIDUAL 5er said, it is Aegean Blue. The advertisement and the dealer incorrectly told me it was Aqua Blue, although I'm obviously not complaining either way!

The dealer's doing a full detail valet on it and a few other things so I'll post pictures when I pick it up - My first BMW! (Thought I'd do it in style and get an M5!)

Congrats !

You'll love owning that stunning combinition.....but not cleaning it...ask me how I know. :crying:
The Napa Champagne interior is soo sensitive to staining, that I have to wipe down the blue discolouration from my seat, every time I wear jeans on a humid day.
It requires two full details per year and real dedication to keep that combination looking prestine. :trophy_bronze:
My kids don't enter my car (ever) and adults get warned to keep their soles on the ground (scuff marks).
My wife is forbidden from placing her purse or any bags on the seats.....the list goes on...and on.
Driving passenger with me me is a real treat, in dictatorship.

Beautifull.....looks like they buffed up that paint...that's what Aegean is all about !

Yeah they did a really good job - all the leathers been done, polished and buffed the paint work (can't find any scratches!), 4 new tyres, rear diff was leaking so they replaced the seals, engine light which was a cam shaft positioning sensor was replaced, high gloss shadow line above rear windows were bubbling up a bit so they were replaced them, and 6 months warranty..

Bloody good BMW specialist I thought!

le mans is more royal blue while avus is darker (i think it may have something like teal in it) - people have said le mans has more purple in it

small comparison - they are in different shades of light, but they also show off the difference between them since avus does come a little closer to le mans in brighter light while le mans pretty much stays the same

Wow.....your last 4 pics of "Avus" look almost identical to my "Aegean" blue. :eek7:

looks like Veilside wheels
Champagner Interior + Contrast Piping

**i wonder how the veilside rims work since it looks like they're all the same exact wheel - 1 side has blades angled forward -the other side has the blades angled backwards

I own Titanium silver but I have to say Anthracite, hands down. There's not even a close second IMHO. I remember the first time I saw one. Wow. Also, Estroil blue looks fantastic.... on the E36 M3.

lol is it just me or did everyone copy our list of e39 colors - i was looking for a better shot of a velvet blue e60 and i found at least 2 lists that use the exact same pics use here (all m5board stamped too)?

well they ripped of ours so i'll rip theirs :biggrin:

on a side note
- looking back i think i got the Bluewater and Silverstone right
(the correction with the cars from AGA is still correct - so don't discredit that one)
- but at least the Silverstone looks just like mine
- the Bluewater does look different but i can't tell if it's the camera they used
