As the title states, I'm looking to buy a BMW ICOM interface module so I can use ISTA/P on my 2008 LCI E60 M5. Need to flash the DME to a 6 speed manual software so I can get the software side of my 6 speed swap done. If someone out there has one that they somehow no longer need the use for, I'm ready to buy before I go out and buy a new one. Since I see myself using this often I'd like to have one instead of having to borrow one from someone locally.

The ONLY reason you need an ICOM is if you have to use the optical port to update the radio firmware. And even then there's been a report of someone doing it over the OBD port (altho it took hours).
Everything else can be done over the OBD port. With that said... not all cables are equal. Get a bimmergeeks pro cable which is the only cable known to handle E60 smg and dme.

Just get one off of Alibaba. I have an ICOM A3 off there that I've been using for the last 2 years:
