I recently got my Front splitters and I just got some extreme mounting tape from Home Depot Double sided tape, it saids holds up to 20 pounds. Im wondering if this is enough to hold my Front Splitters which weighes in at about 2 pounds ea. My question is if my car has vinyl on it can the tape hold up with vinyl and the splitter lips? at speeds over 100 Mph. I do not want to drill holes in my car, I can put a lot of extra tape all around areas. Has any1 used this tape? or should I get a different kind?
Thanks.

I would use more than just tape on a front splitter which will have additional pressure placed upon it when doing 100mph, probably in excess of 20lbs. I have a trunk lip mounted with tape only on a vinyl wrapped car, that said, I used screws and tape for the front splitter.

When using self-tapping screws alongside the bonding agent/tape is there an ideal length of screw? I am assuming that the screw is just self tapping through the splitter into the underside of the bumper and there are no structures/essential engine ancillaries in the way that could get punctured? Equally I do not want to be too short.....although I think I'll be ok, at least according to my wife, who has just informed me I shouldn't worry about length!!!! LOL. But they all say that don't they!
