I purchase just the sticker from them to cover the old faded one. Or you can purchase the whole badge.
I think I saw those on ebay or ones like it. Give a look there and let me know.gixxer said:Actually i'm looking for similar vinyl decal like the one that atomic80 has on his front bumper horizontal bar (not sure exactly what you call it). Here's a picture of it (hope okay to use his picture here).
Mine were only $12 :haha2:VTM5 said:The stripe on the blue car is airbrushed/painted on the splitter.
I looked for it everywhere, didnt find it. So i resorted to paying a graphic company $30 and they custome made me a sticker. Look for companies that do neon signs or signs/stickers in your area, they can make you one. :lightbulb:

This is painted on, not a decal. I have the original iteration of it on my 2001, put on by its designer, Lauren Okamura. Lauren is an architect here in Honolulu, and I wound up buying his car. He told me it took him a lot of time to get the proportions just right, and then he had a local shop paint it on the splitter. I still have the invoice from Cosmic Custom Airbrush, showing that Lauren paid $83.20 to have it painted on in 2001. It was such a success that he had another one made for his friend from the Pacific Northwest, Atomic80. Anyway, that's the true history of this ///M insignia, and incidentaly, it still looks great today after four years on my [Lauren's]car.
Tried to pm you this question, but I don't have enough posts...so, I hope you catch this. Know this post is ancient history, but was your decal done locally? I might be interested in defacing my M5 with that thing for about a week or so just for fun.I went with a vinyl decal for two reasons, easy to apply and easily removable if/when you get tired of it. And it looks great,see...
Hey I know a Loren Okamura, but I dont think its the same guy because I dont think he's an architect, and I dont think he ever had an M5....
