Shop recommendation in Norcal bay area/ peninsula area

Hi guys,

I just recently moved to San Carlos, CA area and wondering if any of you can recommend a shop that can handle maintenance on my E39 M5.

So far I found San Carlos German Motor Works which looks reputable and I see a few BMW specialist shops around town too.
Have you guys tried any of them or can recommend me a shop?

Thanks in advance.

I'm in San Carlos as well along with a couple of other memebrs on this board. Depends on what type of work you needed done there are a number of competent shops. I've used Bimmers on ECR becuase their rate is quite reasonable. A friend of mine just opened his shop just down the street from Bimmers called San Carlos Auto Performance. Their rate is only $95/hr and both Porsche master techs. Let me know if you're interested in getting together since your local.

Roberto,

Thank you for the suggestions.
I will check out both shops.

You probably know this already, but there are a lot of cops on ECR lately. I got pulled over a couple of days ago for speeding.
Good thing that the cop was kind enough to let me go with a warning.

Once I settle down we should get together. It's good to meet fellow board members.
This is a picture of my car. Say hello if you see me around town.

Thanks,

Gianno

The best shop that I've used is 4B Auto in Santa Clara. That might be a little farther out than you want, but their service is impeccable, and David (the shop owner) has a lot of experience with our M5s (there's almost always one or more M5s on his lot whenever I bring mine in).
