Yeah it might rain on Saturday. Matt, don't wanna ruin the dyno run, but there is also an option to do a road rally that day. Details:

If you are in FWB/Shalimar/Destin, we will link up at Shalimar McDonalds between 7:30 and 8:00am to depart NLT 8:05.

WHAT? Pensacola-Atmore Road Rally - A planned cruise from Pensacola, Florida to Atmore, Alabama – non-competitive – The Road Rally is sponsored by the PANHANDLE CRUISERS and the PENSACOLA AUSTIN-HEALEY CLUB – Drive your show car or your family vehicle.

WHEN? Saturday Feb. 8, 2014 – Registration opens 9:50, closes at 11:00

WHERE? REGISTRATION AND START Register inside Burger King, Nine-Mile Plaza, North side of East Nine-Mile Rd. (Hwy ALT 90) about 2 ½ miles east of Hwy 29 - Get a printed route sheet. NO FEE TO REGISTER, no need to pre-register “Socialize and admire the cars!”

FINISH David’s Catfish House, Atmore, AL – David’s food is outstanding! The whole crew turns out for us and can easily serve 200 people. Afterwards, many of us drive 6 miles north to Wind Creek Casino, which is optional. The favorite, two-piece catfish, two sides and drink is reduced to $11.00. Bring right change if possible. You can order anything else you like from the menu.

DAVID’S DOES NOT CHARGE A “GRATUITY FEE”. GENEROUS TIPS WILL BE APPRECIATED

WHO? For All Clubs, all makes and individuals who love to drive – 18 clubs have participated in the rally.

COURSE DESCRIPTION 53 miles - Excellent surface - Only seven turns. With good weather, we will have a large number of entries so special attention is paid to avoid slow downs and “choke points”. Scenic route over Roads Less Traveled - No “ugly roads” – Many entrants will see 60% or more of the roads for the first time. You may drive individually or in a small group. Your choice to drive solo or with a navigator. Speed limits must be obeyed!!!

WEATHER? If there are bad thunderstorms and heavy rain is falling, rally will be postponed to another day… the rally course might be flooded. If postponed, the official rally date will be set for another day but we will still drive to Atmore Feb. 8 on regular highways. “A Beautiful Day last February with 89 cars!!!” “No rain dance for 2014 – This year it will be for sunny skies and a higher standard of living.”

QUESTIONS? Warren Peacock, [email protected] 251 946-3327 or Bill Moseley, Rallymaster, [email protected] 850 456-9040. Bring your camera and make some on-course photos to share

I'd be in for the dyno instead if we can all agree to that (gotta see what she's putting down with the Evolve tune!) Don't forget we'll have to pull fuse #17 and #30..? I'll have to search...

Guys, I'm down for a meet rain or shine, Dyno or Rally. KTLOCKLEAR, come on down, glad to have you!

The Pensacola to Atmore rally sounds like a blast too! Funny thing is my buddy in Pcola who was going to come to the Dyno run just told me about the rally!
I am in for either one, but that is a far hike for some.

I originally posted for the Dyno and if some want to go on the road rally, I will put you in touch with my bud who has a SWEET E39 M5 in Pcola. Chime in with what you guys want to do.

I have to say that I would like to know Dyno #s too. I don't know if my car has a tune or not and one way is to break the 155 barrier on the Dyno since I can not afford to lose my license or be as lucky as some people.... ALI!!!!! Sidenote, the Dyno guy was telling me some "big" camaro numbers of 440hp and hit 176mph! I took it as a challenge

D, good thinking on researching the PINs to pull.

Road rally sounds like fun but I'm out! I just discovered I need rear tires and that right soon! But I'm in for the local meet and I'll come check out the dyno pulls if that happens

I will need a headcount by tomorrow evening for the Dyno, and want to be courteous to him as he is going to block the day for us.

Z rated tires required. I check mine today and have a screw in one, so I will get that patched before. He does have a lift, if for some reason anyone wants to use it to swap tires.

Who has a video camera besides a phone?

I'm game either way......Atmore is a long haul just for a 53 mile rally, but like I said, If the majority rules, I'm in.
Dyno would be cool too, although I would not dyno my car, but would be cool to hang out. Last time I had my car on the dyno it threw and stored like 10 codes, and one of my throttle actuators crapped out shortly after, which I don't think was related to the dyno, but the dealer sure tried to blame it that direction...lol Where is the dyno shop there? I'm from there, but have not lived there since 1995, so no clue where the shops are at anymore. My parents and inlaws still live there so we come down every few months or so.

KT, it is looking like a meet and cruise to the DYNO, not everyone that shows is going to run their car. Will post location and time once we figure out the head count.

I am OUT on the Rally for this weekend, but the dyno or just a meet is cool.

I will need at least 1 more car to get the discounted price if anyone wants to commit.

Gents, I will opt for the rally this weekend (or at least try to convince my wife to let me go). I'd like to see what cars turn up and scope it out for next time (whether or not its worth the trip). It's looking like rainy weather though - should be perfect for a dyno day for ya'll.
