We were all saying how we REALLY needed a red one. C'mon!

In the 3+ years I have owned my car, I had only ever seen one other LMB M5 in the Raleigh area. Otherwise, I might have seen no more than 5-10 on the road around here. They're pretty rare to see anywhere in NC!

Same here. Chuck's is the ONLY other LMB I've seen here, period, in several years. Now we have tons of them. At least nobody had Caramel interior like mine. I'm still special! LOL

Theres actually an anthracite over caramel m5 running around the Cary Apex area. I see him every once in a while. He has a set of Hamaan wheels and a roof spoiler of sorts, but it seems everytime I seem him he is traveling in the other direction. Good looking car thoguh....

Well, if I ever catch you in my driveway in your underpants, at least I'll know why.

That might make an interesting story, especially since the E39 M5 gets blasted by Mike Miller as being a real money pit. Hopefully Tom is reading this (or someone will tell him) and will get in touch with me if he'd like to discuss us doing a Roundel article.

2003 Sterling Gray/Caramel sold, now living in VA
2000 Jet Black/Black sold, it's back in Illinois, where it came from

2008 Namibia Orange R1200GS (hence the handle "Beemer Guy") also sold

Currently driving Chevy's (Holden's) interpretation of an E39 M5
