Dang, chatty group are we?
I still have my car, now at 160k, guess I've had it about 8 years. Have become good friends with another LMB owner who lives less than a mile from my house. We both have lifts, so has been fun helping each other work on the beasts.
Would be fun to get together for another meetup, but let's plan something for when the weather is cooler. For C&C, also saw the Raleigh one is cancelled until January. Wouldn't be surprised if they find another venue before then.
Can't make the WF one, leaving for Scout camp this weekend.
Haven't seen hardly any other e39 M5's on the road in a while. Saw a silver one parked at the corner of Holly Springs Rd/Penny Rd in S. Cary area a week or 2 back. Had thoughts of turning around to have a chat, but was on my way somewhere. Haven't even seen an e60 or F10 in a long time also. Speaking of e60, keep getting an itch to buy one, but then I get Chuck to remind me why I shouldn't, lol. The '08 space gray 6sp with 50k and a warranty is tempting. Guess I'll just keep driving the '02 and see if I can get to 200k without any major engine work. It's gone to drinking oil frequently, not sure why.
Chatted with Brian M about doing a dyno day. Would be a fun gathering, maybe like in early Nov. or so when the temps cool down. Go on a country drive afterwards?
