I know I'm a E60 M5 guy but I'm planning on moving to the Portland area in July with my family from SoCal. Hope to be able to meet some of you and that you all will be able to show me around and some roads and stuff at some point. I have already been searching shops and my shop here said these guys have high praise.Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes / Mercedes-Benz, MINI - Cooper, Porsche, VW / Volkswagen Auto / Automotive Service, Repair, Maintenance, Performance, and Racing Specialist Facility / Shop Portland Oregon - Matrix Integrated. Will probably be sending them an email to them today introducing myself and my beast to them to get a general feel about them before I visit them when we arrive there probably between Jul 12-14th.

I'm sending my beast to Munich Motorworks tonight. I have a good feeling about them. Joseph is a BMW enthusiast for sure. I let you know how it went.
Definitely give a shout when your settled into Portland! I've ridden superbikes here for 13 yrs and know where to find the scenic and twisty roads. It's beautiful up here. I can't wait to rip the M5 up my old stomping ground roads!

Glad you called them, Joseph is Porsche guy too, and gets out to the track quite a bit. It's not so expensive to join the p-car guys at PIR for track days and I'm planning on one or two this year. Interested in hearing about the roads you like, I have some great lines picked out up in the bull run watershed area in east county, always empty, smooth tarmac, and don't usually see another car for 15-20 minutes at a time.

The guys at Matrix are great too, I got a very reasonable quote from them on rod bearings and suspension refresh, but ultimately decided to do it myself. You'll not go wrong with either shop. Matrix is also heavily focused on race prep specifically for bmw, and they've got a huge, spotless shop.

Great timing on the move too, you'll have a great intro to the summers in Portland.

Update from my experience at Munich Motorworks. Owner is a very nice guy but lack of communication between him and the tech along with other complications means I will probably not go back there. Not detail oriented enough for my taste.

I checked out Matrix the other day and left quite impressed. I have an appt with them next Tue to put my primary cats back in and flash my car back to stock software so I can pass smog here in WA. I failed at my first attempt with no cats . Of course they will be coming back out when I pass. Looking forward to meeting all the ///Ms in the area. Do you guys get together and do meets/runs? Anxious to get out and meet some folks. I'm in Washougal.
