Virginia is in the SOUTH!

Virginia and MD should be in the Southeast forums, both are below the Mason Dixon line which technically makes them in the South.

I grew up in VA. When I tell my relatives from the actual south that "I grew up in the south" they laugh at me.

But I've noticed that DC isnt included anywhere!

I'm definitely not from here, but I've always been told VA is the redheadded stepchild of American geography. The south south won't claim, it and neither will the north.

DC does not count. Not a state.

Technically, even if it were, it would fall south of the Mason Dixon line which would make it and everything below PA "South"

Many forums have a mid-Atlantic region, for DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, and WV. That's where we fit!
