OK, I will post more details soon, but mark your calendars for Sept. 3rd for a meet and/or cruise with the local guys from Bimmerforums.com.

Guys from Rochester could modified their day to meet up later, but the general plan is meet in Amherst/Williamsville area (just East/NE of Buffalo) in the mid-morning and then possibly cruise up to Olcott, NY for one of the biggest car shows in the area... usually there are 1,000+ cars on display. We would not go to be in the show, simply to cruise up and walk around, get food from the restaurants up there, etc.

I say the Rochester guys might not follow the plan completely because Olcott is a lot closer to Rochester then Buffalo.... But on the other hand it would be cool to meet up with you guys in the morning before the "bimmerforums" meet, maybe at my house, or for coffee at Tim Hortons to have proper introductions to each other first. The we could make everyone wet their pants when 3 or 4 of us show up to the meet altogether

Quote from Bimmerforums for anyone thinking of going. Let me know so we can meet up!

"hey guys, this is gonna be a great time. the cruise from rookies to olcott will be about a 30-40 minute drive, and the olcott beach carshow is huge. on a nice day expect well over 1000 cars, probably in the 1200-1300 range. i'm thinking we will park in the parking lot near the ice cream place across the street from the west end of krull park, as we will not be able to park in the park itself as we are not entering the show. but as dave said, it will be best to meet at rookies. theres plenty of food there both at the show and in the village, and the lighthouse bar and grill is within walking distance too.

for those not sure where "rookies" is, it is actually no longer called rookies...if you need to search for it in your gps type in "victory christian church" on south transit road in lockport ny...for those coming from the south and are taking the thruway, take the 290>990>left onto millersport>left onto transit. the meet location is approximately 1 mile north on the left just past tonawanda creek road in niagara county. parking lot is huge, there is the church as well as baseball diamonds there. park further to the right near road infront of baseball diamonds. -derek

Hey guys, just thought I would post a quick pic from last weekend. There were not many who could make it, but it was still a fun time.

Cars present were (not in order) E36 325i x2, E36 M3 x3, E46 323i, me, and a Mazda Miata with a huge turbo putting out 350hp with a 6 spd manual. This guy also has an E36 325i.

I'd still like to meet up with the M5 crowd before winter!

Saturday or Sunday October 1 or 2nd! Morning for coffee? later on? Location to be determined... please post suggestions.

My thought:

Meet in morning for coffee and BS-ing about the cars. After a while decide to take cars on a cruise to another location.. park, water front, etc. to take pics or whatever. Ad lib from there...

Either one of those days sound good to me, I'm down for that. Location don't matter either. I'm guessing it would be probably be close to Rochester since the majority live here?
