Auto Lieben: Motorsports Fest

I'm letting you all know about a new car event that I've scheduled this summer. Ive noticed that there are very few shows for us to participate in as a united group of enthusiasts sharing our love of cars, along with enthusiasts from other marques such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Porsche. I'm creating an all new event this year which will unite enthusiasts from other german car groups and bring us together as a whole.

The event is being hosted this summer in a small creek valley near the St. Croix river, that is Afton Alps ski village, owned by Vail resorts in Colorado. The ski resort is a golf course in the summer parking to accommodate hundreds of cars. They are providing a food truck serving brats and beer (at least for the first year), and will allow us to park in the grass, set up the show, etc.

Right now this event is supposed to be a meet and greet with no concourse judging or entry fee. Registration is free, however I ask that you please do register if you plan on coming so we can make you a placard and one of us can hand it to you when you enter the show which will go on your windshield. I believe the Midwest region would gain much by having a large premier event for all of us to share and congregate. The only places that have such large German shows are on the east and west coast ie. Bimmerfest East and West, Legends of the Autobahn at Pebble Beach, etc.

Twin Cities BMW CCA, MNBMW, and Mercedes Club of America Twin Cities are already involved in this and are working with me, and other large BMW CCA from neighboring states have expressed interest. This will be a large event this year and will only be getting larger as it becomes a tradition. Its still very early in the planning phase right now. I hope this could be fun for us, and will be posting updates for this as they come in.

Know that we do not care for excessively stanced, cambered, or lowered cars. There are already shows for that type of thing. Understand too, that the condition of your car will determine where you will be parking...

The date is scheduled for Sunday, August 9th 2015 from 10:30AM-3:30ishPM
Any questions about this please post or feel free to PM me.

Just an update on this. This will be a show and shine type of event and everybody is welcome with any type of car or condition. Professional photography is now being provided by a very well known photographer (who has been featured in DuPont Registry), and also there are already a few members coming out from Chicago, and Wisconsin so please message me so I can get you in contact with the people planning to make the drive out.

Jackson,

I just saw this post since I don't visit the M5Board very frequently. The M5Post has more traffic on the F10 side. I just registered so see you there. I will also be at the August C&C.

Hit me up if you want to go for a ride some time in July or just meet up for a beer.
