Update as of 4/11/22 - Up to 95 M5's parted out. Please message me with your needs.

As some of you already know, I part out E39 M5's on a constant and nearly full time basis these days. As of today I've owned 16 E39 M5's, 13 of which were/are parts cars. I generally have 3-4 complete cars on hand at any given time. I'll keep updating this thread as cars are added.

Many of the popular parts get claimed quickly but I have a huge inventory of just about anything else bolted to an M5.

I try to respond to requests quickly but I get very busy and only have one full time helper. Sometimes I just can't keep up. Don't take it personally if I take a day or two. I do generally ship same or next day with payment. Paypal, Venmo, Zelle and others accepted. If I don't have the part or it's not available, try me back another time. I won't offer it to you if it's on a car buried behind other cars.

I do try to confirm that a part is functional before selling it. However, used parts sometimes don't work exactly as we hope. If you have a problem with something I sell you, I'll offer you a refund or replacement (if I have it).

Huge and heavy parts will only be offered for local pick up. I've learned some hard lessons about shipping big, bulky stuff and I'm not going there again. Packaging large parts and shipping them is time consuming and costly. I have bills to pay and I'm not a glutton for punishment. Greyhound is not an option for me. If you have to have it, pull a favor from a local friend as I'm happy to assist with that. I'm also will to road trip a fair distance to meet the right buyer. If you want a whole interior, I have a truck and will travel.

Thanks for looking!

Adam

No go on the shifter. Just sold all of them to someone.

No red/black sport on the radar. We don't see many of those.

Do you happen to have the fuel feed line with a usable quick disconnect, that runs from the tank to the fuel filter?
Part Number (00000000389830)

In the first photo, the left end of the line goes 'upwards' into a quick disconnect near the bottom of the trunk on the drivers side, and the right end of the line (pictured in first photo) goes into the fuel filter.

In the second photo,
it's the line nearest to the middle of the car (it's outside of its holder in this pic) and would normally be plugging into the rear of the fuel filter via its quick disconnect at the end of its line.

We only keep the clean ones and I don't have one off and ready to ship. I do have one on a car we are a few days away from completing the part out of. The fuel system is the last thing we remove to avoid fumes. It will probably be Friday/Monday before I can make it available.

Hi Clemster,

Do you have any extra cap nut/washers that hold on the engine beauty covers?

I tried looking up that part number on REALOEM but don't see that specific nut in the drawings.
I thought it would be part#14 & 15 that are used for the valve cover but it appears those are different lengths and thread size.
The beauty covers use a cap nut over a rubber seal while #14/15 is a cap nut, washer, and rubber seal.

Thanks
How many do you need? I have hundreds of the cap nuts and washers. $2 each per set. I have new rubber seals for $.50/each. There are 8 cap nuts on the valve cover and 2 on the coil cover. There are 3 collar screws at the front edge of the VC. I sell those for $1 each with used seals. I don't have new ones for these.

Got another odd ball request.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

-Front PDC Impact strips (good shape) pair
-Rear PDC impact strips (good shape) pair
-Front PDC bumper wire harness bundle (i can understand if this is not attainable)
-And any broken but rebuildable rear quarter window shades.

Now here is where i may need your help on parts identification.
I plan to do a custom rear pdc retrofit that involves making a pair of holes in the rear strips.
What i think I need is a pair of lone pdc mounting plastic brackets and their cosmetic “bezel”. And since these are direct rear facing, i would probably need 2 ofthe brackets off one of the fronts? Hopefully of a salvage piece.

I only have the rear strips in clean condition and front harness that's been cut (it's integrated). $50 shipped for all. Could not come up with good front trims or the sensor inserts. I'll be away from the shop for several days, so can't ship immediately.

Hey Clemster curious if you have any of the following:
Black grab handles
the Map light
that square panel that goes right behind the map light (with or without homelink)
a cover for my motion sensor (it's still intact)
if you happen to have the clip assembly for the motion sensor mine is barely intact
C pillar lights in black plastic
Sunvisors
I also need the clips for the sunvisors in black

and lastly the little squares that cover the Torx on the A pillar.... i need those in black too

I know this is a long and random list of parts if you can oblige please let me know what it would set me back :D
Guys, I'll be away from the shop until the 13th. I'll circle back then to see if you still need these parts. I should be able to supply all of them.

Hey Adam, I'll take one of those updated Accumulator's with wires if you still have any shipped to 78108. Thanks.
I just sold two kits and don't have another available currently. I'll reach out when the next one comes up.

made a post a VERY long time ago asking for a price quote on parts needed to convert my 540i wagon to manual using M5 bits.
since then i moved to san francisco (from massachusetts)
i think shipping was quoted at like $200 then, but i'm now across the country

what does shipping cost to get all the way out to the west coast? (specifically 94115)
for weight estimation, call it the weight of an m5 manual trans, pedal box, and driveshaft

edit: didn't see the away till the 13th message, but that's cool

Hi Clemster. Rear style 65s available? Any condition is fine.
Sorry, no. I have two new parts cars in and one had aftermarket, the other style 65's that were claimed instantly.

Hi Clemster,
New on M5 forum,. previously owned a 1984 635. Now have 2002 M5. I need a DSC hydraulic unit for my M5. Do you have any for sale? Thanks Mo
$70 shipped for hydraulic unit minus module.

Hi Adam,

I'm looking for a rear left engine support cover. PN 517 18 222 131

Also need the tranny cover if you have one in good shape PN 517 12 498 987

Thanks.

Kevin
$15 shipped for the triangular cover with clips (517 18 222 131)
Have two new cars in and have the check for the trans cover. Undamaged examples sell for $100 + shipped which runs $40 to you. They are long and wide which is costly.

Hello Clemster. I am looking for the harnesses /cables to go from a C43 to BM53 setup so I can add DVD MK4 and a radio with Aux. Will even consider the radio and mkiv unit. The cables are no longer available from BMW. Supposedly from 9/00 BMW used BM53 but my 9/00 01 has the CH 43. Thanks.
Unfortunately, haven't seen one of those in years. I have late build BM53's and and MK4, but without the adapter cable you are stuck.

Hi Adam, I'm looking for a deal pedal. How much shipped to 48152. Thx
$35 for my cleanest. I have dozens.

Any black lux seats in good shape?
None that I would call good. Plus, local pick up only. I'm done taking a beating on shipping seats.
