2006 BMW M5 SMG 7speed.
car was running amazing before the slave cylinder went out.
put fluids to make sure it was the slave cylinder and confirmed it came from the little hole between the bellhousing and engine block.
Took to shop and was initially quoted $659
then they realized that they had to drop the trans.(i told them they had to prior to taking it there)
so now we are at $1,302
part was installed and now it wont go into any gear.
im sure the shop was not knowledgeable on how to properly bleed the hydraulic system nor adapt the transmission.
now they kicked my car to the curve, just had it towed to my house since they didnt want to finish the job as they say it is my transmission that has gone out.
when at the shop i did get the trans to engage into second gear and went around the block and went through 2-7 gears
after coming to a stop and putting it back into N. position the car did not go into any gear.
shut the car off and now wont crank over.
i know the pump works.
transmission is still good.
Do i just need to go over the bleeding/adaption procedure myself?
whats the best software to use to do this at home?
work on cars frequently just not familiar on the M5 platform nor SMG.
dont want to take to another shop that ""does smg's quite often and are knowledgeable""
and dumb more money for someone to take my money and not fix the issue.
would like to try it myself and get this beauty back on the road.
thanks in advance!
