Replaced pixel ribbon but damaged gas gauge

I bought the pixel repair kit to fix the damage pixels in my display.

Drilled the 4 holes. All going fine when I was putting screws for LCD back in I lost screw off head and pushed screw driver hard into the mother board and appears the gas gauge got pulled up and now it sits at 1/4 at rest.

Can this be repaired?

with the cluster removed, simply turn the needle by hand to the desired position. If you feel resistance thats fine; as long as you dont wind it 360 degrees and tighten up the return spring too much.

a simple twist to the left wont do any harm. the needle should work as before

I know this has been asked a while ago, but in case someone in the future has this issue:

Chances are pulling the gauge face, the VDO glue holding the face to the plastic piece got undone. Put a finger on the gauge face near the needle and lightly push down. As youre doing that, move the needle to make sure it it doesn't hang. If that's your issue, a very small amount of gorilla glue near the hole you drilled takes care of it.

Source: I just installed a nes silver ribbon 2 weeks ago and had that problem
