Shes HERE!!!! <Finally I Have M5 POWER> Pics

Boyz,

I finally took the pludge, and bought an E39 Black M5.

Spec:
M5, 59K on the clock, Fully serviced - documentation, BMW, mots validating the miles

Initial Thoughts:

1) More torque than i expected.
2) Car feels very agile through bends, and smaller to drive than what it looks like.
3) Driving it back from Scotland, i achieved 18.4MPG - which i am not sure is good or bad
4) Speakers are really bad - well annoyed about this - cannt believe that this car was £50k when new - and the sound is soooo bad.
5) Was expected a deeper noise from the exhaust.

Welcome aboard, looks like a nice M5, especially like the 2 tone black/gray interior!

Congrats and welcome to the club! What speed did you average to get that bad of average fuel consumption? I can typically get closer to 30mpg going between 65-80MPH or 100 and 120KM/H.

My sound system sounds great. Maybe your connections are bad or you have some blown speakers or faulty amp not providing enough power to the speakers?

exhaust note is easy to change. Search the E39 section, there's quite a few threads on exhaust selection.

That looks like a very early build E39 M5. Probably a '98 or '99 build. You need to facelift it with nice LED's rear and angel eyes front.

Also, the M5 has an amazing sound system which probably was not an option in your car! Do you have DSP?

talking Exhaust

That exhaust sounds pretty good. It isn't as deep as mine though. I'm not sure what is on mine. For some reason I still want it louder but at low rpm it almost shakes the car.
