Which Exhuast for E60?

Hi all,

Even though I had told myself that I would not mod my car in any way other than perhaps some real subtle small stuff,..I am already getting the urge to get a sports rear section exhaust

I have read the posts of our US cousins and the RPI system sounds like a good price and sound compromise.- (They do sound a little too noisy on startup thinking of my neighbours) Dont think they sell in the UK?

I have heard a few Supersprint systems on You tube, and they don't sound as good as the APR through my laptop speakers....

Ideally for me it should sound no louder than the normal exhaust in normal driving, but sounds clean and F1 like when you want it to. A switchable one would be nice.

Any recommendations from you chaps? perhaps we can arrange a group buy so the missus's will understand that we "just had to buy because it was such a great deal"

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve
Have you tyred wortec in the uk. They have a video on youtube. I think its called wortec m5 exhaust. Its a switchable exhaust.
So the noise level is brill for everday driving. And the price is good to.

thanks guys

RPI is nice sounding, but I would really prefer a switchable type. I heard a Meisterschaft GTC which sounds awesome and is switchable

I will search for the Wortec now. It would be best of all if the switch could be one of the empty buttons on the dash like they have on the Porsche PSE.

Cheers

If anyone is selling a used sports exhaust please let me know as I would be interested. I am looking to replace the rear section only (catback)

I checked out Wortec, looks like they are a VXR specialist

Supersprint, Tubi or one of the Brands above would be nice.

Only posting this here as the classified seems to have a lot of NA stuff

Cheers

Steve
