Question RHD SMG TO MANUAL SWAP. Coding help needed

Hey guys, been lurking for a while and looked over the various threads and info on the SMG to manual swap. Have completed all the mechanical side of this swap, and also the wiring. Coding is where I've come unstuck.

So when I connect to the car in NCS and read the FA from the CAS I get this error.

I can view the VO. however it wont let me write. also Im not sure if the modules I can see are correct either some pictures attached.

When trying to use ISTA-P i get this

Does anyone have any insight on what the issue could be?

I have programed the DME software to manual also. No difference whichever way it is coded.

Help appreciated!

Hi, would you be able to list the parts needed for RHD to manual?

Thanks

There is a chap in South Africa that did this and I will try to get a hold of him to have a look at your problem

Not sure.

Basically grabbed an e92 m3 box and clutch with a smfw. Smg crossmember fit with mount. I imported a manual 530d pedal box from the uk and made a custom clutch line out of speedflow. Lengthened the tailshaft 30mm at local tailshaft store. Also ordered an m5 shifter assembly from the usa on ebay. Fitted shifter bush to the floor from a spare e90 setup i had. Wired accordinly using an e92 gearbox loom i hacked up to suit and fitted up a custom trans cooler and wired the gbox pump to a relay off ignition. All went flawlessly. Too flawlessly it would appear as now i can't seem to get ncs to add 2ma to my vo lol.

Pls help. Willing to reward if required 🙂

Quick thought it looks like you didn't read from the car before trying to code to it, ie there is no FA in displayed. Did you initially pull from the CAS or did you manually enter the vin?

It just looks all off, you don't have the job or module version in the second pane. can you walk the steps you did? Were you able to code before and where did you get the coding profile, what spdaten are you using?

Normally do E90 stuff. was hoping it would be as simple with the E60 but it's beating me so far.

So I have a virtual machine which is around 180gb containing supposedly all the items i need. And with E90 335i manual swaps it works a treat.

Basically i open NCS and read FA. it reads vin number and asks me to choose either CAS or LMA, then once i choose CAS it gives me that sequence error AT.

I can then press F2 and open the FA and edit it however I want, but it gives me an error and I can't write it to any modules either, also weird that when I try the modules are basically CCC and MASK, which seems strange compared to when I do e90 manual swaps.

I have a feeling its an issue with my Daten setup on my VM. but I genuinely can't figure it out so far. I think the SPDATEN are 55. I will have to check in the morning.

Thanks so much for your reply.

+1 on your software having issues. For whatever reason mine works fine on E60s but I can't read E90s...
