One could use a caliper to ensure the piston is still extending all the way up (i.e. no bent rod). Injector failure is likely due to the gas filter letting crap through / disintegrating. Must change the filter.

Ok thanks guys, i will push to get those done. Is a bent rod likely from hydrolocking under the start motors power alone? It locked after 3 or 4 cranks (i would just before it was about to fire).

It depends on the state of the engine when it hydrolocks, it could be due to a bent rod. To check scoring you would need a boroscope to confirm any damage.

Ok, maybe i will just do that myself I am not sure yet. One thing i have noticed is that at very low RPM's (1k - 1.75k) the engine seems to be a little rough (minor misfiring), maybe needs some new plugs? I have INPA so was going to see if i could inspect the combustion quality using it??? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alex
