Looking for any help here guys, !! It’s a 2007.

Every other day when the car is started it will cycle through ALL dash warning messages starting with the yellow triangle. In addition the IDRIVE screen will stay blank. Eventually the Idrive screen returns and the car will drive ok, albeit without power steering and DSC etc etc with warning lights all over the dash. After advice from this board I HAVE replaced the alternator and voltage regulator and battery. Still having the issue. Too many codes to list when this happens. And after clearing codes this won’t happen for another day or two. I’m at a loss?? Perhaps a bad ground ?? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes I'd check the engine ground strapping.

Did you code the battery to the car? If so, have you tried it a second time? Check the connections at the battery too. Make sure they’re tight and not corroded.

Thanks LT I’m pulling my hair out, perhaps a bad battery, maybe not coded correctly. Very intermittent but driving me crazy.

Bad PT-Can connection somewhere would do this also - do you have the seats with moving bolsters? Post a screen shot of rheingold to see what modules are coding out.

I do have the seats with the moving bolsters, I’ll get the guys to hook it up to that program on Monday and see if it’s coding out. Is there anything in particular I’m looking for? I did leave all the codes and didn’t clear them from the last Christmas tree event.

PT-can is a ring network, so if there's a loose contact in either one of the seat connectors, all the other modules will complain that they're missing PT-can traffic like vehicle speed, steering angle etc. Things like DSC/ABS, seats etc will error out without that data.

Yeah, there's a fun little chart view that shows modules with code and how they're connected:

I think I need to step up my game and get the Bavarian cable/program, Carly isn’t cutting it after seeing this. Thanks for taking the time to post it. Still waiting to hear back from the shop.
