Anyone figure out how to to stop the 'push to store' popup messages in IDrive?

For some reason now that the weather warmed up I get that a LOT, like constantly. It says '1 - something' Long Push to Store. It is very annoying. It goes away after a few seconds on its own but it keeps popping up.

Sounds like the touch-sensitive memory buttons on the radio may be acting up? Try cleaning them with a wet wipe maybe?

LCI cars got memory buttons. If you touch the button without pushing it you get a preview of what the buttons do. In case no function is assigned the message you refer to appears.

I had no idea. Let me try... My car is 08 (LCI) but has CIC IDrive supplanted in there.
