I had never heard of any issues with the valve springs, but apparently it is. If I spent all day at the rev limit racing it, I might have thought it could be a problem.....but daily driving? Would never have anticipated that issue.

I can remember one more case of a broken spring in the forum. Someone like Jim would be able to tell if/how frequent the issue is. Another weak point of the engine for sure, but at least seems to be rare rather than the norm like bearings.

Still waiting on the inspector to show up, but the warranty company has been asking my Indy for all maintenance records on it. Not sure if that's a good sign or not. I've kept it maintained so hopefully that shows.

Inspector apparently showed up finally yesterday, took pictures and got details so we'll see what happens in the next few days I hope. I miss the beast.

Still in process. I believe it was approved for up to $11k so the motor has been dropped to get the head off and they are fully assessing what will need to be replaced.
