Cic retrofit coding

I know itís been done, but can I code a cic to my 06 without using an emulator? And does anyone have the process for coding properly. Found endless diy for install and pin configuration but coding always seems cloudy. Plus Iím trying to understand the fsc code and combox retrofit. I know of the #0909 for fa. What else?

Yes it can be done. The emulator is only needed to enable navi. I did this a few months ago and it was a PITA. Can't remember the details but getting the software to work was a pain. It involves wiping the cic public certificates and then installing your own - or something to that extent....

Yes. Generating fsc codes is easy. Problem is updating the cic to enable all functions as vin doesn't match. That's what the emulator is for. Or the non emulator way to generate new fsc certificates with your vin. That's what fstool is for and a pain to get to run.

Here's a pdf to get you going. This and google intel123 patcher. There are more application numbers than what is in the pdf, just google them.

Probably. But I hate cutting the stock harness so...

And about cutting wires here's a tip: don't tap into the hazard switch harness when you add the front panel lightning wire. You can get the same signal on the ashtray harness. Makes routing way cleaner.

And aren't emulators like $100 these days? That's another reason to hate them even more. Software was free, but it did take a LOT of hours.

I think you need to retrofit first, second is for combox.

In order to change CIC VIN, you will need ICOM tool and flash CIC with new latest software + your VIN, then you can use Intel123 patches to patch your CIC and use FSC generator like Intel123 guide.

Good luck,
