Welcome to M5board where pics work only some of the time...

Here is a link to it on FCP, they have it for 18 and ecs has it for 40 something, which is funny because ecs is usually better price wise.

What you'll find is the current one is marred and galled from the old metal style through out bearing.

This is my list of stuff to-do while you're in there.

For clutch and flywheel check rockauto. For bmw-only parts use bmwpartshub.com or bmwdirectparts.com . Unless it's a sale item they are way better than fcp or ecs. Seems fcp price may be a typo on this, buy while you can.

Rock has the clutch for 488 and flywheel for 819, at least they did last month

The fcp price is legit, I paid 15 for it last month from them as well

Another question. I’m looking up clutch kits and it looks like a couple different kits. As you all probably know there are Non sequential and Sequential. What one do I need. Rock auto has a LUK 03083 Non Sequential kit or a LUK 03090 Sequential kit. When I go through my parts supplier it lists the 03083. Being that I have a Sequential Manual Gearbox it makes me think I need the Sequential. Help please

Hey guys sorry to revive a kinda old thread. I recently purchased a 2006 E60 M5 with the same issue, bunch of SMG codes like the one above. Found out the slave cylinder was leaking, clutch and flywheel looked good. We replaced it and put the car back in the air and still no start, Neutral light flashes car won’t go into any gears or start. Is it true I have to reset the trans through INPA? Hoping this fixes it. Thanks! I thought it would be plug and play and not need anything to be reset

Err don't you have to drop the trans to swap out the slave? I thought the bolts on it are on the inside of the bellhousing for some reason.
