Eliminate air idle controllers for E60 BMW M5?

Both my cars have a bad #2 air idle controller and one of them has a suspect #1 also.

I do a lot of ECU tuning (have an eddy current dyno, lots of experience, but on sportbikes) so I have the perspective that it's absolute BS that a throttle by wire car even needs air idle controllers... but... I'm not at all knowledgeable on tuning the ECU, haven't tried, although I do have access to the Alientech Titanium software to tune ECU's, but really haven't done anything of this sort. I'd like to turn off the functionality and block them off, don't care much about idle quality and have a flashed ECU anyway... everything on these cars is a damn mini computer networked to the rest of the car.

Any ideas?

While I'm sure it can be done... WHY? The DME has a routine for when IAC fails, so it could be done. But the main TB are large enough that you'd have a hard time syncing them at idle conditions. Heck if memory is right Jim mentioned they don't open until 3k rpm or so. You'll end up with different fuel mixtures on every cylinder. They're there for a reason.

No, throttle bodies open right away.

Additionally... No IAC on most modern throttle by wire systems either, and I usually remove them on track bikes that use standard throttle and IAC as they sometimes interfere with proper tuning once engine is warmed up... proper performance is not the primary goal of the OEM ECU, not criticizing it but providing a polite perspective for the response which has nothing to do with answering the question really.

Some smart guy mentioned it I think... or perhaps because I’m not an idiot.
