Price Check? 2008 SC M5 SMG Space Gray/SilverStone 50K Miles

Can I get a price check?
Car In Question: 2008 BMW M5 SMG Space Gray / Silverstone Interior, 50k Miles
ESS VT2 Supercharged (stock otherwise), HUD, Heated/Cooled & MultiFunction Seats.
2 Accidents (2010 Right Rear $1200, 2017 Right Rear $4800).
2 Owners. Previous Owner and Car is known to local BMW Club members and well vetted.
Plenty of records. SC Installed at well known local shop
Still on original Rod Bearings (!), New Clutch though. BMW Service Records show the vehicle has been trouble free.
Asking $24K USD

I will request a PPI before finalizing a deal but would like to get opinions before I drop this much coin. $24K seems a bit much to me but I'm relatively new to the M5 side of things (I've owned multiple M Cars, just never an M5).

Thank you!

Hard pass on a 2 wreck, blower-on-stock-internals car on original bearings. Demonstrably wrong priorities on the previous owners' part.

I'm new to E60 M5 ownership. I searched for over 18 months until I found the right deal for me. The value seems to be there as long as you accept that there are several potential big fixes coming your way. I have been in an E38 for two years and those guys were dogging the M5 because of the problems. I simply pointed out to them that I have poured plenty of money into my E38. It looks like a great car and fairly priced.

yep that car's been on market for months. i don't like the fact that it's been on blower on stock bearings. i think it's potentially a disaster waiting to happen. it already may be a disaster. i wouldn't get it.

I have checked out the vehicle and it is clean and drives well. The previous owner had it since it was returned from lease and I guess he didn't bother with Rod Bearings since it was a trouble free car for him. I'm still thinking it over since there aren't maybe 08+ M5 or M6s in the area. I'd save maybe $3k-$4k on the others but they wouldn't be SC or have Rod Bearings changed either :/
There is an 06 Silverstone/Black with 19k Miles for $19K as well...

Well here are prices i Think would be great deals.
$20,000: 2008 to 2010 with recent bearing change and in immaculate condition.
$15000: earlier model with recent bearing change in great condition.
10k: needs bearing job, unknown history
5k:engine damage or salvage

Add couple thousands for quality header, another 1 to 2k for quality exhaust. I would add 5k for ess supercharger. I would add 1 to 3k depending on whether throttle actuator, smg pump, clutch, brakes, etc has been done recently. Subtract if nothing was done accordingly. Add 2 to 3k for manual trans. Add 2k if less than 50k miles. Subtract 2k if over 100k miles. Subtract 5k for salvage history. Subtract 0 to 1k for accident history with clean title.

You wont find a car with swapped bearings/up to date maintenance and sub 100k miles for that price. I sold my 110k mile 6 speed manual for $25K couple months back.

Maybe... But yours was sold on BAT so I see it as an exception.

Not sure why people bring up a SC on a stock engine as that is what the SC was made for and tested on, it was not a requirement to change the rod bearings when you had the kit installed. People are only now concerned about the rod bearings due to the failures that have occurred talked about endlessly. Even I was on a stock engine for the first year after installing my VT2 kit. I only built my engine after I wanted to boost more power on the kit. I think the price is well within the range for the year and mileage on the car but the rear accident I would offer a lower price.

With the experiences I have had I would never pursue an e6x M car that has had heavy modifications. I would chase the ones that are mostly stock and extremely clean that have probably been owned by old folks that bought it just because it was expensive and they could. I don't want to have to consider how many track launches or burnouts it's done regardless of whose foot was doing it.
