Question e60 M5 axle replacement.

Hi all, my axle is being delivered today. Im going to try and put it in, as i do much of the maintenance myself. and insight will be appreciated while I tackle this. will take pics, hoping to have it complete by tomorrow.

What state do you live in?

Asking because this gonna dictate how easy this job will be.

2001 E36/7 MRoadster
2001 E39 M5
2010 E60 M5

Make sure to get female torx set to remove the half shafts...the unit should come w a new boot and sealed up so pretty straight forward job

Are they called E sockets? I know I got a set when doing rod bearings, for the motor mounts if I recall correctly.
