The most tragic part is the hood survived.

No doubt...I just spit out my morning coffee, laughing.

It’s the natural cycle of every M5.

E28 M5 is not in preservation mode. Any surviving examples are worth a mint.

E34 M5 bottomed out 5 years ago and values are steadily climbing. Picked up a few of them.

E39 M5 clean examples are skyrocketing in value. The bargain basement examples are **** and only good for parts.

E60 M5 will continue to drop for another 5 years, all these broke *** kids killing the engine and crashing them will reduce the numbers of surviving examples in the hands of long-term, original owners and deep pocket collectors.

F10 M5 worthless piece of ****, engines grenading left and right.

F90 M5 bigger worthless piece of **** that couldn’t even leave the factory without any issues.

No doubt the attrition rates for e60 owners are about to skyrocket.

Should’ve invested money on tires with all the money he saved not having full insurance coverage.

Hmm, interesting responses.
Glad he is ok. Sad to see beautiful car wrecked.

What I don't understand is the speed limit is 35mph and even when my rear suspension was screwed with DSC kicking in causing car to slop when going over bumps and my front subframe was snapped with swaybar half connected, I couldn't wreck it at that speed if I tried. It was the 50-60+ that got scary so I don't understand how in a 35mph zone he not only lost control, but did SO MUCH DAMAGE. Was the mailbox made of concrete? wtf else did he hit

I actually feel bad for the guy and that ceramic coating came out incredible. But chances are he's being disingenuous about doing the speed limit and/or having DSC on. Doing that in the winter in the cold with summer tires esp ones down the wear bars are a bad idea.

The ball busting comes because it's on youtube, compound the fact he's probably lying about how it happened(hell we all have dumb **** stories we did), and pays for detailing instead of insurance or at least tires.

Oh yeah we also want to cannibalize the parts

He bought an Interlagos Blue E92 M3 lmao.

He said he's "keeping" the M5, but judging by the dents in the quarter panels on the rear right above the door, it's definitely going to the frame puller.

I never understood his mindset.

Don't ever say you're a good driver, like he said in the video. Anyone who has to say they consider themselves a good driver are trying to prove something.

Him complaining about $250 extra a month for full coverage LOL, how is he getting quoted $3000 a year for full coverage?

As much as I want to see it, I don't see E60 M5 going up in value. It was never a car a kid would aspire to. It also has numerous computer controls which makes owning the car little difficult if you want all the light to be off. Supply will dwindle for certain. But I think the demand will go down with it. The previous-generation M5 I think is a very special case. I think there was a huge media hype about the car. I think the price for the previous generation M5 is probably at its peak. I don't see that happening with E60 M5...

He will have a hard time fighting the ‘driving too fast for conditions’ ticket. He says ‘cops got no proof I was going too fast...’ umm you ended up across a field having crossed the oncoming lane backwards. That kind of proves the case dude. It’s a bummer but kind of hard to argue your speed was ‘appropriate’ when you wrecked going around a gentle corner...

I think you would be correct sunghyun7, were it not for a certain automotive journalist and professional lunatic named Jeremy Clarkson. His brilliant review of the E60 M5, combined with the fact that I was entranced by those distinctive taillights back in high school when the E60 first hit the road (before I even knew what an M car was), ingrained in me a latent desire to own one that simmered for years. Once I realized what a perfect match the E60 was for my requirements, personality, and driving style, there was no stopping the chain reaction.
