I keep my M5 in MDM S5 p500s usually. I have heard that fu traction control on reduces the acceleration even if your not breaking traction. Does the same apply to MDM if you're not breaking traction?

Well when I first starting workin on the tuning part I bought a ebay dme as my guinny pig, some how I started collecting them and even bought another 2 weeks. I suppose one day I'll build fort out of them or maybe wipe them and sell them, just waiting for some emp to take out all the dmes in the country

Hi Ferris, how's your SMG TCU project coming along?

I am new to the world of BMW coding, having only dabled with INPA, Carly etc, but that is really just for diagnostics.

A little while ago you referred to the competition MDM coding for the E60 - is this something you have performed yourself?

In a more general sense, I have never used NCSexpert, but some experience seems to be a prerequisite in order to code the Competition MDM. I do have a copy of the software - any tips on how to get started?

The TCU project has been on hold for the last three weeks, my SMG decide it was time to rebuild so I'm finishing that up( been waiting on a part). It sucks because I did install a new Clutch and flywheel while the transmission is out. but my plan was to destroy the old one with launches and testing .

Anyway I did try the MDM competition, it works but I like DSC off in m mode so I haven't "used" it in the last year or so. Just follow the link, If you can't find it let me know and I'll dig it up.

Don't worry about NCSexpert, make a copy of the original coding( I believe NCSDummy does that for you), be careful about overwriting it though move it to another folder. If worse comes to worse you can always redo the Vehicle order to revert everything.

Feel free to ask any question in a post or pm, we're all every helpful here

Thanks Ferris. I'm very keen to see how you get on with the TCU hacking, as I am sure you are too! Like I have said before, I am fascinated by your ability to reverse engineer the controller.
