RTD Short Shifter

As the title suggest i have a 6 speed m6 and was wondering about the short shifter kit provided from RTD. They are a new company based in the middle east that have gained a well known reputation in the bmw world as you can check on youtube with many people doing teh rtd shifter as its price is fair compared to what it does and quality wise.

I spoke to them since my friend has an e46 m3 laguna seca and recently did it and loved it and suggested i do it as well and with them having the new carbon fiber edition short shifter it would be a nice match with the cf interior as well.
They sent me a video of some random customer in the US who has done this on his e60 m5 (video below) and loved it and i haven't seen anyone who hasn't loved the mod.

the price range is around 400-460$ whether its carbon or aluminum..

anyways you can find them on facebook rtd shifters

will this have any negative effects on the tranny with time (short shifters in general)

thanks

The RTD looks pretty cool. I think the only negative is you may need to cut your dash.

I just picked up a CAE shifter for my e28 m5. I have the z3 1.9 shifter in my e60.

The cars I’ve driven with a CAE are at another level. Hard to explain, but very easy to feel.

Whats the differences between RTD and CAE?

I have always wanted a CAE shifter when I had my E46 M3 but cutting up the dash kinda sucks...

hmm i will take my car to the supplier since he lives next to me to investigate about the dash cutting issue
