You just bumped a 13 year old thread... /clap

Two ways:
-lift up the back seat and pull the emergency cord.
-Use the physical key inside the 'key fob' to unlock the trunk.

You will only have one option....

- lift up rear seat. Yank at the front of the seat and it will come up with some force. Just two prongs holding it down. Then you will see a cable with a black handle.

The M5 did not come with a key hole for the trunk.

No, it is on the right side of the license plate. See photo. We have a plastic cover on the m5 that is glued down to take up space front the euro plate size.

But there is no key slot there....

Only way is from inside under the rear seat.

There is a hole with a plug, but no spot for a key. This is the same for a 2009 and 2010 which I've had.

Either way, there is.no reason to remove that panel for simply getting in the back. We bothwin.

Why not just connect a battery via jumper cables under the hood and use the trunk release button in the driver's footwell?
