SMGIII programming

Is it possible to program the SMGIII transmission to downshift to the lowest gear possibly with a single paddle pull, similar to the e90 M3 with DCT? They simply pull and hold the downshift paddle and the car will grab the lowest gear possible, while we have to pull the paddle multiple times. @jcolley this sounds like something you would be knowledgeable about...

Nope. Next time I'm in IDA looking at mss65, I'll grab a screen shot of the code for the SMG shift sequence. Completely different than the DCT.

When in Auto mode and flooring the gas, does the trans not do this already? Could this be some programming that tells it to do that, or is it set to downshift to 3rd gear every time it detects a stomp on the throttle? I think it always shifts down to 3rd when i stomp the gas in auto and at a higher gear like 5-7, not sure if it would downshift lower if you are currently in gears 3-5.

Yes, in auto mode the car will detect the lowest gear possible when flooring it and grab that gear for you, thats why I don't understand why can't it be programmed to do the same thing in manual mode by holding the downshift paddle and flooring it like the m3 with dct... I assume its more complicated then it sounds but I wish it could be done
