Post E60 Pre-Lci to LCi headlights- Specific Question

Hello All-
I have tried to search and can't find this answer. It appears the headlight swap threads includes doing the tail light swap for LCI....and I only want to do headlamps. This would be Adaptive Xenon Pre-Lci to LCi...I can't find a single thread on just making headlights work. Assuming I have lights, ballasts, adaptive modules... basically ready to plug in...
1. is there any specific retrofit cables for just headlights?
2. Seems coding can be optional for headlights?

If anyone can answer these, or if they have done just the headlights....woudl be great.
Thanks!
Beau

depends on who you ask. some guys have hacked it to work (somehow). but if you search - and im guessing you didnt search well - there's tons of threads on this here and on 5series.net

there actually a service PDF from BMW for dealers on how to perform this retrofit. the info is out there for sure...

I do custom headlights & taillights
