Replace Headliner & Having problems with locking car

Hi,

I replaced the headliner on my M5. I am know having problems. I can't lock or unlock the doors, truck or set the alarm. I noticed that the red light under the rearview mirror is not flashing .

I am wondering if something did not get plugged in once they reinstalled the headliner; or do I need to have the computer reflashed.

Ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

FJ

Hi FJ

I believe there is a receiver near the rear screen that might have disconnected. It can also be the diversity antenna in the trunk.

Can you lock/unlock the car if you are very close to it?

Yeah, I believe that there is something that got disconnected. The radio reception is poor and red light under the rearview mirror is not flashing. I can't lock the car with the key fob period.

I took it to a BMW shop. They connected it to the computer and reset some fault codes. Then , the key fobs showed to have low battery. If I take the key fob and put it close to the diversity antenna works fine.
I need to charge the key fob by driving the car. The problem is that the M5 sits in my garage on a trickle charge. 11 years old and only 24K miles.
