They are most likely hardened anyway with any age on them. Your measurements are correct, the only thing you didn't list the spec of is the durometer rating. I use 75 durometer Vitons on these solenoids all the time, both SMG and VANOS.

Be very careful you don't use anything that will nick the o-ring lands. This can cause cutting of the o-ring later.

Keep me posted with the results of fresh O rings. I changed out a pair of my solenoids and left the exhaust bank ones in place. Would love to hear if fresh O rings helps these things stay fresh...

No. Mine are still garbage after the orings replaced. But with that said, the car runs fine still
